SIMPLE Skin Care Bar Soap | REVIEW | Fragrance Free & Color Free Soap

The Simple skin care line of products was launched to target those of us who have very sensitive skin. Our skin can flare up because the fragrances used and dyes used in skin care product formulas.

I have been using this product for about FIVE months now. It removes by makeup with ease (without using another makeup remover) and it leaves the no residue behind. Its not very moisturizing but I personally dont mind. I dont like when residue is left on my face.

I have combination/acne-prone/sensitive skin, so this product works PERFECTLY for me. This is the ONLY product from this line that I have tried.

Its VERY affordable. I bought mine for $200 JMD (Jamaican Dollars). The only issue I have is that it seems that it has been discontinued in my area. I have a hard time finding it now. Stores only carry the other products from the Simple line and not the bar of soap. Only one place sells this now and thats Mega Mart Waterloo.

Hope this review was helpful.

ST.Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Moisturizer | REVIEW | My FAV moisturizer of all time!!

The St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Moisturizer, (as it claims) is said to be formulated with collagen and elastin proteins which help to visibly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by restoring collagen and elastin (naturally found in the skin).

Collagen and elastin proteins are broken down in the skin which is why we do need to restore it. This breakdown is caused exposure to ultraviolet-rays of the sun and aging. Agings causes the breakdown of collagen proteins which lead to thinner, less elastic skin, weaker connective tissues, wrinkles and other visible and non-visible signs of aging. At about the age of 20, the body actually loses the ability to make more collagen

Collagen is the second most common substance found in the human body. Strong connective tissues and healthy skin are produced by it. Collagen is a building block for all the body's systems as it forms a major part of the membranes surrounding and protecting internal organs and forms a major part of blood vessels, ligaments, tendons and bones.

Overall, it goes on great. The scent is not overpowering. Its very moisturizing! Excellent for dry skin. I LOOOOVE this foundation. Its very affordable. You get a lot for a small price.

On days when its really hot and humid, I will not wear this our else I will sweat very easily.

The only drawback to this is that it has no SPF protection.

Its a great buy. Try it!

REVIEW | Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain & Balm in Twilight

Hey there!

Today I will be giving my review on the Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain and Balm. This product is not the same as the Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain. This product came out before the Balm Stain and its two products on the pen to be use together. You apply the  market lip color (the stain) and a moisturizing clear balm over it.

1. Moisturizing Balm (similar to chapstick but better in my opinion)
2. Marker color stains the lips. Color is hard to come off. Last for hours.

1. The marker lip color is hard to come off after applying to the lips
2. The covers for both sides can get lost if not secured properly.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation | Dark 3 Cocoa | REVIEW

Hello again everyone!

Im here today to rave about a foundation that I love. Its my GO TO foundation

I have Combination Skin, which means I get oily on my foreheard, nose, apples of cheek, upper lip and chin. Choosing the correct foundation for my skin type is crucial. I have experimented with quite a few foundations and this by far is the best suited for my skin type.

Texture: DRY MOUSSE/POWDERY (dries to a powder finish)
Shade Range: NOT VERY WIDE FOR WOMEN OF COLOR (only Dark 2 and Dark 3 are available for women of color)*

* This information is for Jamaicans. Only Dark 2 and 3 in the "DARK" range is in Jamaica.

Color Correction in MAKEUP ARTISTRY

As a Professional Makeup Artist, it is crucial to know "Color Theory" and "Color Correction". This is where complementary colors are used to cancel the effects of each other.

1. Green helps to offset RED: Covers bright red blemishes

2. Purple helps to counteract YELLOW tones: Helps to counteract yellow tones such as those in Asian skin

3. Yellow counteracts PURPLE tones: Covers dark circles under the eyes
4. Coral helps to boost radiance of the skin: This is the easiest way to fake a glowing fresh face when you're feeling tired and your skin has any unflattering blue-grey tones running throughout it

Loreal Superblendable True Match Foundation - Cocoa C8 | REVIEW

Hey there,

So I decided to purchase the Loreal Superblendable True Match Foundation because I had never tried their foundation before and heard this was to one to try. So I got it in Cocoa (C8) and its basically finished now.

Shade: Cocoa C8

This "c" indicates that this foundation has a "cool" undertone. As far as I know, my undertone is Orange and thats warm, but this ended up matching my none the less.

This foundation is a liquid, it applies smoothly to the face. I use a Flat Top Powder Brush or Kabuki Brush to apply it and blend it into the skin. The coverage is all dependent on how much you apply. IT IS POSSIBLE to get a full coverage look from this foundation

The only CON with this foundation is that is settles into my fine lines on my face. I have never experienced this before until I started using this foundation.

Nonetheless, this is my FAVOURITE liquid foundation so far, as it relates to application, coverage and overall use.

Hope this helped.

BLACK OPAL Beauty at Beauty Buzz

On Friday May 3rd, the beauty expo called Beauty Buzz was held at the Jamaica Pegasus.

There was a WIDE variety of brands on display such as Black Opal, Mango and Lime, Bosley, Kinky Curly, Revlon Nails, Avlon, KeraCare, Big Sexy Hair & more.

I was working in the Black Opal booth as one of the makeup artists. We got the chance to use the new line of Black Opal products called Color Splurge (mainly) & Even True line on the patrons who were at the expo.

The lipsticks in this line are AMAZING! My favourites are the Fantasia Plum & Natural. The Fantasia Plum is a deep plum purple that flatters basically all skin tones. It all depends on how much is applied to the lip. The Natural is a very good brown-tan nude. These lipsticks are not runny nor do they bleed. They have a thick consistency with very high pigmentation. What you see is what you get.

They also had the new line of Color Splurge lip glosses! Very pigmented and they are shimmery, glossy and frost shades.

The eyeshadow duos from the Color Splurge were also very good. The pigmentation was very good and the duo makes it easy for customers to know which shades to put together to achieve a great eyeshadow look. I know a lot of people have problems choosing colors at time so this is a great presentation from Black Opal.

The foundations we used on the clients was the Perfecting Powder Foundations (brown case) which were specially formulated for people with OILY skin. A lot of people are unaware of this line of foundations by Black Opal because they are ONLY familiar with the cream stick. The cream stick is not formulated for the with oily skin. They work best for those with dry to normal skin.

In the existing Black Opal line there are FOUR lines of foundations, True Color Cream Stick Foundation, True Color Liquid Foundation, Perfecting Powder Foundation and True Color Cream to Powder Foundation.

It was REALLY great to work with all who came by our Black Opal booth and got a chance to get a makeover and consultation. Thanks for coming! See you next year!
